The role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team as Head Veterinary Nurse at their fantastic practice based in Burton-on-Trent.

The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice.

You will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice as this position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas.

Full support will be provided by the nursing team.

All of the Head Nurses are provided with dedicated support with other duties, such as recruitment and Health and Safety.

While there are still administration duties involved in your role, this support will allow you to spend more time managing your team and doing what you love, nursing!

Salary & benefits:

• Salary up to £30,000 dependent on experience
• RCVS fees paid CPD allowance, plus CPD leave 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.
• This is a full time permanent position, covering 40 hours a week.
• This shift pattern includes 1:3 Saturdays or 1:8 weekends

Skills and experience: You will be an experience Registered Veterinary Nurse with previous experience of managing a team.
