Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our client’s small animal practice for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly and welcoming team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering outstanding pet healthcare and excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team comprising four vets, eight nurses (including two brilliant students), an administrator, and a business manager who is also an RVN. The team includes two nurses with certificates in dentistry and anaesthesia. You will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential, including admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients, with assistance from VCAs and an SVN in theatre and patient prep.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Admitting and discharging patients.
  • Monitoring anaesthetics and assisting with recoveries.
  • Providing high-quality clinical care to all pets.
  • Collaborating with VCAs and SVN for theatre and patient prep.
  • Ensuring an outstanding client experience.
  • Maintaining a clean and efficient clinic environment.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have good general nursing experience.
  • Possess great customer service skills.
  • Be cheerful, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic.
  • Have a genuine interest in animal welfare.
  • Be willing to work full-time, 40 hours per week, with a shared weekend rota.
