Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Vet to join a vibrant team. They are an independent small animal practice offering comprehensive veterinary care, including weekday out-of-hours service.
The successful candidate will integrate into a dynamic team, contributing to exceptional patient care and practice development. They will engage in a range of clinical activities and benefit from continuous professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Perform small animal first opinion practice duties, including consultations, hospital rotations, and surgeries.
- Collaborate with a supportive team of vets, nurses, and staff for case discussions and professional development.
- Participate in the shared Out of Hours rota, involving one night on call per week and one weekend shift every four weeks.
Requirements:
- Veterinary qualification with 2-3+ years of experience.
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and sociable with a proactive approach.
- Strong team player with effective communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding veterinary care to patients and clients.
- Special interests or certificates in relevant areas are advantageous.
Benefits:
- Salary: £40,000-£70,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Reporting to Clinical Director.
- Average 40 hours per week, with flexibility for 4 or 5 days.
- Out of Hours: one night shift per week, 1 in 4 weekend shifts.
- 6 weeks paid annual leave (including bank holidays).
- £3,000 CPD allowance.
- Birthday leave.
- Pro-rata overtime pay.
