Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a hospital with the aim of becoming a Branch Partner. This role offers a share in the practice, allowing you to take the next step in your career. You will utilise your ambition to drive the success of the practice while delivering unrivalled care and positively impacting staff, patients, clients, and the community. As a Branch Partner, you will bring clinical expertise in delivering exceptional client and patient care, while extensive back-office operational and commercial support is provided. Together, the practice will grow in value, which you, as the Branch Partner, will realise at the point of sale.

The successful candidate will join a highly experienced team, including certificate holders, inspiring leadership, and fantastic nursing and support teams. The hospital is undergoing a state-of-the-art refurbishment and houses advanced medical equipment, such as MRI/CT units, endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and multi-parameter monitors. The hospital also supports other clinics with interesting and complicated cases.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own practice standards and champion excellence across your practice.
  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.
  • Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for clients, ensuring payment and minimising debt.
  • Work closely with the Practice Manager to maximise commercial performance with a focus on key measures.
  • Engage, mentor, and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
  • Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
  • Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Proactively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider community.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
  • Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • An understanding and appreciation of exceptional care and how this improves the client experience.
  • Experience in implementing a progressive clinical culture.
  • Experience in delivering strong commercial performance through effective allocation of clinical activity.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
