Job Description
Are you passionate about nurse clinics? Join the team as an RVN! The practice offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of vets, supportive reception staff, and a Practice Manager.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to lead as the sole RVN in the practice. You’ll be a key part of a dynamic team, engaging in a variety of projects, including nurse consults and a bespoke nutritional ambassador programme. The team supports continuous professional development (CPD) to help you grow your consulting skills and build confidence.
Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients and patients.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures, managing all pre- and post-procedure activities.
- Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
- Monitor and care for patients, ensuring excellent service.
- Manage patient admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
- Coordinate patient transfers to out-of-hours or specialised care.
- Dispense and check medication accurately.
- Uphold professional standards, adhering to all regulatory and operational guidelines.
- Lead briefings to coordinate the team and ensure efficient practice operations.
Requirements
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality patient and client care.
- Strong teamwork skills and experience in supporting nurse consults.
- Ability to use coaching and influencing skills effectively to motivate colleagues.
