Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon for a recently refurbished practice. The clinic features two consult rooms, a separate nurse consult room, a spacious prep area, a designated imaging room, and a refurbished theatre with new ultrasound, dental, and radiography equipment. The environment is designed to provide a high standard of care and a pleasant workspace.
This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to lead a small, dedicated team, providing high-quality service to clients. The team includes a Head Nurse and a patient and client care team, all committed to excellence. The position involves managing a varied caseload, with a significant number of feline patients, including a high volume of neutering procedures. The practice also supports local charity neutering schemes, offering an essential service to the community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
- Provide clear updates and excellent care to clients.
- Maintain the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
- Prepare accurate treatment and care plans with clear cost estimates.
- Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills and utilising them effectively.
- Manage clinical handovers and patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
- Share and support clinical best practices within the practice and the wider veterinary community.
Requirements
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Experience in delivering high-quality care to patients and clients.
- Effective team player with strong clinical leadership skills.
- Ability to implement a progressive clinical culture.
- Experience in supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, understanding their impact on clinic performance.
- Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve their best.
