Are you a Qualified Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with practical experience, strong client communication skills, and enthusiasm for working in a team? Are you dedicated to providing high standards of patient and client care and motivated to run your own nurse clinics? Our client is looking for a Full-Time RVN to join their friendly, professional team in a bustling 24-hour hospital.

The successful candidate will join a highly experienced team, including Branch Partners and Vets with a combined 25 years of experience, and a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse with 15 years of experience. The team also includes certificate holders and those currently undertaking certificates, alongside a fantastic nursing and support team. The hospital is equipped with advanced facilities, including MRI/CT, endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, and in-house blood work. It supports clinics across a wide region, handling interesting and complex cases. The rota is a 4-day week with weekends on a 1-in-6 basis.

 

Responsibilities

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients and patients.
  • Support surgeries and procedures, including pre- and post-procedure activities.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
  • Monitor and care for patients.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Handle patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care services.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Uphold professional excellence, adhering to all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Conduct briefings to engage and coordinate the team for the most effective practice operations.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consults and understanding their contribution to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Skilled in using coaching and influencing techniques to maximise colleague performance.
