Our client, a well-established practice with a recently refurbished facility, is seeking a dedicated team member to join them as they welcome clients back. The role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to make a meaningful impact within the veterinary community.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to work closely with a team of Student Nurses, junior RVNs, and Care Assistants. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in their development, offering guidance and support while actively participating in clinical duties. You’ll also have access to nearby specialised practices, enhancing your exposure to orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, medicine, ultrasonography, dentistry, exotics, and ophthalmology.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients and patients.
  • Support surgeries and procedures, managing pre- and post-procedure activities.
  • Lead and promote nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
  • Monitor patient care and manage admissions and discharges.
  • Handle patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Uphold professional excellence by complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Inspire and coach the team, sharing best practices and new standards.
  • Proactively contribute to the wider community by sharing clinical knowledge and practices.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Confidence in leading a clinical team.
  • Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and consultations.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills to bring out the best in colleagues.
