Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a practice situated in a prime location, ideal for enjoying tranquil lunch breaks in nearby green spaces.

As the sole RVN in the practice, you will play a crucial role within a supportive team. The role offers significant opportunities for nurse consultations, with full training and internal CPD provided to build your confidence and develop your consulting skills. Additionally, there is a bespoke nutritional ambassador programme available to further your professional growth. The position provides a balanced work-life schedule, with a four-day work week and 1:6 weekends, ensuring you have a set day off each week to enjoy your extra free time.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional care to clients consistently.
  • Support surgeries and procedures, managing all pre- and post-procedure activities.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
  • Provide patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Facilitate patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Uphold professional excellence by adhering to all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Lead briefings to engage and coordinate the team for the most effective practice operations.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consultations, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills to optimise team performance.
