An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established veterinary practice. The practice is relocating to a new, larger site equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, providing an ideal environment for professional growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with a dedicated and passionate team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality veterinary care. With access to advanced equipment, including a digital X-ray machine, biochemistry and haematology machines, and a cutting-edge ultrasound machine suitable for advanced echocardiography, this role offers the opportunity to enhance skills in both medical case management and routine surgeries.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
  • Offer clear and compassionate communication to clients, keeping them informed about their pets’ treatment.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare accurate and tailored treatment and care plans with clear cost estimates.
  • Mentor and develop the veterinary team, enhancing their skills and promoting effective collaboration.
  • Complete clinical handovers and arrange the transfer of patients requiring out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Share and promote clinical best practices within and across practices.

 

Requirements:

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to demonstrate clinical leadership.
  • Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture.
  • Familiarity with supporting nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of their impact on practice performance.
  • Proficiency in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve optimal outcomes.
