Job Description
They are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team. As part of a leading veterinary care provider, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care in a busy hospital environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a 24-hour practice, where you’ll contribute to a range of cases alongside experienced colleagues and certificate holders. You will be involved in various projects and gain valuable experience in a supportive and professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient and client care.
- Support surgeries and procedures, including all pre- and post-procedure activities.
- Conduct nurse-led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Provide patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Complete patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Maintain professional excellence, adhering to all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
- Engage and coordinate your team to support the efficient running of the practice.
Requirements
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse or final year Student Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience in small animal practice with a high standard of patient care.
- Ability to work with empathy and demonstrate initiative.
- Understanding of the roles of PCAs and student nurses, with a willingness to support colleagues’ development.
- Confidence to work both as part of a team and independently.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
