Job Description

A well-established and purpose-built veterinary practice is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their team. This role offers the chance to be the sole RVN in a dynamic practice, supported by an experienced Branch Partner and Practice Manager, with a focus on patient care and professional development.

The successful candidate will work in a collaborative team environment, playing a key role in delivering exceptional care. They will have ample opportunities to develop their nursing skills through various consultations, training, and internal CPD. This role allows for the growth of clinical passions by participating in clinical communities, enabling regular collaboration with other veterinary professionals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional care to patients and clients consistently.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures, ensuring completion of all pre- and post-operative activities.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 procedures.
  • Monitor and care for patients, managing admissions and discharges.
  • Organise patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care when necessary.
  • Dispense and verify medication.
  • Uphold professional excellence, adhering to all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Conduct team briefings to ensure effective practice management.

Requirements

  • Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consultations, understanding their contribution to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing to maximise team performance.
