Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and collaboration.

The successful candidate will work alongside a dynamic team of vets, qualified nurses, and support staff. They will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, from routine surgeries to advanced procedures, all within a purpose-built facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Responsibilities

  • Perform medical and surgical procedures to a high standard in a first opinion practice.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure the best patient care and customer service.
  • Assist in mentoring newer members of the team, including graduate vets and student nurses.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, offering advice and guidance on pet care.
  • Participate in a flexible work rota, including 1:3 Saturdays with no Sunday or out-of-hours (OOH) duties.

 

Requirements

  • Strong clinical and communication skills, with proven experience in a first opinion practice.
  • Confidence in both routine and more complex veterinary procedures.
  • Availability to work part-time (20-30 hours per week), with flexibility around working days.
  • Ambition to further develop your career, with support available for continuing professional development (CPD) and certifications.
  • Membership with relevant professional bodies (RCVS, BVA) is required, and sponsorship is available if necessary.
