Job Description

Our client’s veterinary practice enjoys an excellent reputation within both the group and the local community. The practice is easily accessible via major transport links, offering convenience for both staff and clients, with free onsite parking available.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and experienced team, working with a varied caseload that includes cats, dogs, rabbits, and small furries. The team is led by a partner with a passion for exotic animals, though specialisation in exotic medicine is not required. Familiarity with basic rabbit and rodent care would be beneficial. Our client is committed to professional development, offering support to those with specific interests they wish to pursue within veterinary care.

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Independently manage routine medical and surgical cases.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Work collaboratively within a team of 2 full-time vets, 1 part-time vet, 2 RVNs, 3 student veterinary nurses, and 3 veterinary care assistants.
  • Occasionally take on sole charge responsibilities.
  • Work a flexible schedule, with the option of full- or part-time hours (minimum 23 hours per week) over 2-4 days, including 1 in 3 Saturdays.
  • Ensure a healthy work/life balance with no out-of-hours responsibilities.

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in small animal medicine and surgery.
  • Confidence in managing routine medical and surgical cases independently.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional client care and fostering strong relationships.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
