This is a rare opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a dedicated team at a well-established small animal practice known for exceptional client care and a supportive environment. Applications are welcome from both experienced RVNs and newly qualified candidates.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of nurse clinics and services, supported by recently acquired state-of-the-art equipment and a dedicated nurse room. They will be joining a practice recognised with awards, including Practice of the Year (2023) and Supportive Practice of the Year for New Graduates (2024). The team includes a passionate group of RVNs, SVNs, VCAs, and reception staff—all eager to welcome a new colleague.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care, including specialist clinics in areas such as cat-friendly practices, diabetes management, and nutrition
  • Collaborate with the lead RVN and team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Contribute to clinical services in a fully equipped, nurse-focused setting
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior nurses and supporting clinical staff
  • Participate in a rotating weekend schedule (1 in 5 weekends), with no out-of-hours responsibilities

 

Requirements

  • Qualified RVN (experience preferred, though newly qualified candidates are encouraged to apply)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering compassionate care
  • Keen interest in advancing clinical skills and engaging in ongoing professional development
