Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a close-knit and growing team. The friendly team consists of one full-time RVN, two SVNs, and one VCA, led by a Partner and Vet who qualified from the University of Bristol in 2004. The practice was opened in November 2018, and is proud to be an ISFM Silver award cat-friendly practice. The state-of-the-art practice is equipped with the latest technology and facilities, and has built a loyal and growing client base.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, confident, and compassionate nurse to lead a busy nursing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the practice and supporting the growth of students. As the practice continues to expand, the candidate will have the chance to drive development and contribute to the success of the team.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse, the responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting the nursing team in day-to-day operations
  • Providing high-quality nursing care for a range of patients
  • Mentoring and developing student nurses, with the opportunity to become a clinical coach if not already qualified
  • Assisting with surgeries, diagnostics, and treatment plans
  • Building strong relationships with clients and providing excellent customer service
  • Ensuring the practice meets RCVS Small Animal Accreditation standards
  • Contributing to the development and growth of the practice

 

Requirements

To succeed in this role, the following will be required:

  • A qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with strong all-round nursing skills
  • A genuine interest in animal welfare and a passion for providing excellent care
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Clinical coach experience (or a willingness to train as one)
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a busy caseload
