Job Description

A client is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their award-winning practice. The clinic is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with modern amenities, providing excellent care for both patients and clients.

As a Veterinary Surgeon, the successful candidate will be part of a supportive and skilled team of experienced vets. They will have the opportunity to work with advanced equipment, including digital X-rays, in-house blood machines, dedicated dog and cat wards, theatres, a dental suite, and a rabbit-friendly environment. The clinic also offers laparoscopic surgery and orthopaedics, providing a great platform for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care during consultations and procedures.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients, offering clear updates on patient care.
  • Uphold the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare accurate treatment and care plans, with clear cost estimates.
  • Mentor and support team members to enhance their skills and efficiency.
  • Handle clinical handovers and coordinate patient transfers when necessary.
  • Share and implement best clinical practices within the clinic network.

Requirements

  • MRCVS-qualified Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Experience in small animal practice, with strong clinical examination and surgical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills.
  • Client-focused approach with a passion for delivering exceptional care.
  • Suitable for both new graduates seeking development and experienced vets looking for career progression.

Working Hours

  • Full-time role: 39 hours per week over four days.
  • Weekend rota: 1:3 Saturdays or 1:6 Saturday and Sunday shifts.
