Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a friendly and dedicated team within a modern and progressive veterinary group. The successful candidate will work as part of a skilled nursing team, collaborating closely with vets, nurses, and support staff across multiple state-of-the-art practices. They will be encouraged to use their full range of skills, with the opportunity to grow professionally in areas such as inpatient care, radiography, anaesthesia, and nurse clinics.

They will also benefit from a structured nurse mentorship programme and have the chance to progress into specialist nursing roles in areas like orthopaedics, dentistry, dermatology, cardiology, feline care, and exotics, or into leadership roles such as hospital nurse or head nurse.

Our client is committed to continuous improvement and innovation, offering exciting projects including expanding referral services, a laparoscopy programme, and the opening of a new Diplomate-led Tertiary Referral Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent nursing care across all areas of the practice
  • Participate in anaesthesia, radiography, inpatient monitoring, and nurse consults
  • Maintain clinical standards and support best patient outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure high-quality care
  • Engage in CPD and training to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Work a 40-hour week, with 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am–5pm) and 1 in 12 daytime weekends (No out-of-hours or on-call duties)

Requirements

  • Registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI)
  • Previous clinical experience is preferred
  • Enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to high standards of care
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Keen to develop professionally and contribute to a forward-thinking environment
  • Interest in pursuing specialisms or additional qualifications is welcomed

  • Salary: €30,000 – €38,000, depending on experience
