Full support for CPD will be provided, along with opportunities to pursue certificate-level qualifications.

Responsibilities

The role will involve:

  • Delivering high-standard clinical and surgical care to small animal patients
  • Performing consultations and routine surgeries with confidence
  • Managing sole charge shifts as required
  • Participating in a 1:4 weekend rota (with time off in lieu)
  • Conducting one late inpatient check per week (for stable cases only)
  • Providing telephone backup for weekday duties
  • Sharing weekend inpatient duties with the nursing team
  • Taking part in daily team huddles for case discussions and support
  • Strengthening client relationships through excellent communication and care
  • Contributing to the growth and development of the practice

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • UK RCVS registration
  • Completion of Vet GDP and some post-qualification experience
  • Confidence in routine surgeries and sole charge responsibilities
  • An interest or experience in dentistry is advantageous (training can be provided)
  • A team-oriented, positive attitude and a collaborative working style
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to patient care

  • Salary of £48,000–£58,000 depending on experience (pro rata for part-time)
  • Flexible working options: Full-time (30–40 hours/week) or part-time (2–3 days/week)
