Job Description

Are you looking for a supportive team, career development, and a great work-life balance? An enthusiastic RVN is required to join the team at a newly refurbished clinic in South Dublin.

About the Practice

What began as a small family-run clinic has grown into a group of state-of-the-art veterinary centres across Ireland. While the team has expanded significantly over the years, the core values remain unchanged: to provide the best care for patients by ensuring the best care for staff.

Their mission is to improve lives through excellence in veterinary care, with a focus on continuous innovation, investment in the latest diagnostic and monitoring technologies, and cultivating a work environment where the team can thrive both personally and professionally.

With internal referral services led by certificate holders, the practice covers a broad range of specialities including orthopaedics, dentistry, oncology, exotics, cardiology, advanced soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. Dermatology services are also set to launch soon.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and expanding team. The role encourages full use of all nursing skills and involves working across inpatient care, radiography, anaesthesia, and nurse clinics.

Access to nurse mentors within the wider team provides ongoing development support, and opportunities exist to specialise in orthopaedics, dentistry, dermatology, feline medicine, cardiology, and exotics, or to grow into head nurse or hospital-based leadership roles.

The rota offers a 40-hour week, with 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am–5pm) and 1 in 12 weekend day shifts. There are no out-of-hours or on-call duties.

Requirements

  • Veterinary nurse qualification and VCI registration (or eligibility)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for patient care and continuous development

Benefits

  • Salary between €30,000 – €38,000
  • 5.6 weeks holiday including bank holidays, increasing with length of service
  • CPD funded with support for certificates
  • Professional fees paid (VCI and VDS)
  • Health plan, gym contribution, cycle-to-work scheme
  • On-site parking
  • Option for sabbatical after two years of service

Support & Development

Our client is committed to supporting professional growth with CPD funding, in-house training, and opportunities to pursue certificates. Structured development programmes are in place for both new graduates and those seeking leadership roles.

Team Culture & Wellbeing

A positive, inclusive culture is a top priority, with regular social events, wellness initiatives, and annual celebrations. Each clinic is given a quarterly social budget to support team bonding outside of work.

Join the team and be part of a practice that values professional growth, high clinical standards, and a supportive work environment. Apply today!
