Job Description

Our client is a well-equipped, recently refurbished veterinary practice seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their talented team.

This is a full-time role (40 hours over 5 days per week) with shift patterns of either 08:00–17:00 or 09:00–18:00 and participation in a 1-in-6 Saturday rota. The successful candidate will work as sole charge, utilising their full range of medical and surgical nursing skills while running nurse clinics. The role involves supporting a two-vet team and a helpful admin/support team, caring for a loyal and friendly client base.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional client and patient care
  • Support surgical and medical procedures (pre- and post-op)
  • Conduct nurse-led clinics and Schedule 3 activities
  • Monitor and care for inpatients
  • Manage admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
  • Dispense and check medication
  • Comply with clinical, regulatory, and operational standards
  • Coordinate daily practice flow through team briefings

Requirements

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Confident in running nurse consults
  • Positive, proactive attitude with good influencing and coaching skills
