Job Description

Our client is an independent specialist referral centre opening a brand-new site dedicated to ophthalmology referrals. They are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic RVN to join their team. This is a rare opportunity to be part of the foundation of a new centre while working within a well-established, independent group that has expanded across the UK.

The successful candidate will play an active role in shaping the development of the new centre, working closely with a team that values collaboration, communication and continuous improvement. They will contribute to the delivery of excellent patient care across medical, surgical and high-dependency cases, while building on their own skills and knowledge in a supportive referral environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care for medical, surgical and high-dependency patients
  • Support the set-up and development of the new centre, including protocols and processes
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical and administrative team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintain accurate records and support effective communication with clients and colleagues
  • Participate in a full-time rota, Monday to Friday

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with solid general practice experience
  • Previous referral experience is welcome but not essential
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate and supportive approach
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-focused environment
  • Motivation to learn, share ideas and contribute to a new practice culture
