Shape Your Future as an RVN with a Supportive, Award-Winning Team

Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary nursing career? Our client is a long-established, independent practice with a proud history of delivering outstanding care. With an award-winning reputation and a friendly, collaborative culture, they are now seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their growing team.

This is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to thrive in a workplace where your skills, passions, and career goals are genuinely supported. You’ll be part of a large, dynamic nursing team, rotating across hospital, theatre, and consultation shifts while also developing expertise in the areas you enjoy most. Whether you’re newly qualified or an experienced RVN, you’ll benefit from mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and the chance to contribute to exciting projects that shape the future of nursing within the practice.

Responsibilities

As an RVN, you’ll enjoy a varied and rewarding role, including:

  • Delivering exceptional inpatient care and assisting with surgeries.
  • Running nurse-led clinics and supporting client education.
  • Rotating across hospital, theatre, and consultation duties.
  • Developing specialist interests such as rehabilitation, behaviour, exotics, anaesthesia, or senior patient care.
  • Supporting student nurses as a clinical coach (if desired).
  • Sharing responsibility for on-call, twilight, and weekend rotas with the wider team.

Requirements

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

  • A qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN).
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Keen to continue developing professionally, with an interest in CPD or further training.
  • Flexible, organised, and comfortable with a varied caseload.
  • A strong communicator with a positive and supportive approach.

Benefits

In return, you’ll enjoy a generous package, including:

  • Salary: £33,000–£36,000 (DOE), with paid overtime and a lieu-time scheme.
  • Holidays: 5.8 weeks including bank holidays, with the option to purchase an additional week.
  • Development: CPD fully funded, certificates encouraged, and RCVS & VDS fees paid.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Optional private healthcare after 1 year, access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, and a company pension.
  • Lifestyle Perks: Discounted veterinary fees, one free Lifetime Care Club membership, cycle-to-work scheme, and reduced gym membership.
  • A supportive, friendly team that values work-life balance.
  • A lively social calendar with regular activities, community events, and team celebrations.
