Our client is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly, dedicated team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will be joining an advanced first-opinion practice with excellent facilities and a highly skilled clinical team, including a certificate holder in surgery. The successful candidate will contribute to a variety of cases, support surgical and medical work, and play a key role in providing exceptional patient and client care. Those with an interest in orthopaedics will find great opportunities to develop their skills further.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver outstanding patient and client care in every interaction

  • Support surgeries and procedures, managing all pre- and post-operative activity

  • Carry out nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 tasks

  • Monitor and care for patients, ensuring their wellbeing at all times

  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team

  • Dispense and check medications safely and accurately

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and operational standards

  • Contribute to daily briefings to support the smooth running of the practice

Requirements

Our client is looking for someone who is:

  • RCVS-registered as a Veterinary Nurse

  • Experienced in delivering excellent patient care and client communication

  • Confident working as part of a collaborative team

  • Skilled in nurse consults and understanding their impact on practice performance

  • Able to use coaching and influencing skills to support and motivate colleagues
