Job Description
Are you an experienced vet looking for a rewarding career in a supportive, family-run practice? They are now looking for a vet with some experience to join the team and work alongside the lead vet.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a friendly, well-supported team and to contribute to a diverse range of cases, including orthopaedic and cardiac referrals. The successful candidate will:

Work closely with the lead vet and experienced colleagues

Be supported by visiting orthopaedic surgeons and a cardiology advanced practitioner for complex cases

Contribute to case continuity and provide high-quality care using in-house diagnostics and equipment

Develop their skills and knowledge, with support for CPD, certificates, and career progression

Responsibilities

Conduct consultations, examinations, and diagnostic work for a wide range of small animal cases

Perform general and soft tissue surgeries

Deliver preventive care, dental treatments, and follow-up care

Work collaboratively with an experienced nursing team to ensure seamless patient care

Utilise in-house equipment including dental X-ray, ultrasound, Tonovet, and laboratory facilities

Maintain accurate patient records and case notes

Participate in rota planning, including shared Saturdays, with scheduled breaks for admin and lunch

Liaise with out-of-hours services, which are outsourced to a local emergency provider
Requirements

Veterinary qualification with some clinical experience

Strong interest in small animal medicine and surgery

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Commitment to high-quality patient care and client communication

Enthusiasm for learning and professional development, including certificates if desired

Flexibility to work full-time or part-time, with a 4-day week rota and shared Saturdays
