Job Description
Our client is an independent, family-run small animal practice known for providing high-quality, compassionate care and building long-term relationships with their clients. They are now seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team as they continue to grow.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of vets, nurses, and support staff who genuinely enjoy working together. You will play an important role in delivering excellent first-opinion care, developing your clinical interests, and contributing to ongoing improvements within the practice. Responsibilities
Your day-to-day role will include a healthy mix of consulting and surgery, with plenty of opportunity to maintain and develop your clinical skills. Responsibilities include:

Carrying out consultations, diagnostics, medical work-ups, and routine surgery

Providing high-standard, compassionate care to patients and clients

Working collaboratively with the veterinary and nursing teams

Managing your own cases, with excellent support available when required

Contributing to clinical discussions and sharing ideas for continuous improvement

Ensuring clear communication with clients and colleagues

Supporting case continuity by spending set days at designated branches

Participating in a fair rota that includes Saturday mornings only, with no on-call or out-of-hours work
Requirements
Our client is looking for someone who is genuinely kind, motivated, and keen to be part of a close-knit team. Ideally, you will have:

Postgraduate small animal experience

Completion of VetGDP or equivalent experience

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Confidence in managing routine cases, with support available for more complex work

A positive, proactive approach and willingness to get involved
