Job Description
Are you ready to elevate your career as a Veterinary Surgeon? Our client, a veterinary hospital, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team as a Clinical Director. This mixed practice boasts state-of-the-art facilities and a dedicated team for both small and large animal care.
As the Clinical Director, you will lead a passionate team, oversee clinical and non-clinical operations, and have the opportunity to shape the future of the practice. Working closely with the Area Support Manager and Area Director, you will contribute to strategic planning and ensure the highest standards of veterinary care.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the practice to provide top-tier veterinary care.
- Oversee clinical operations, including surgeries, consultations, and diagnostics.
- Collaborate with the Area Support Manager and Area Director on strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with best practice policies and clinical excellence.
- Act as a key point of contact for both clinical and non-clinical matters.
- Participate in on-call rotation (one weeknight and one in six weekends).
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Surgeon with VCI/RCVS.
- Strong communication skills and ability to delegate tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in surgery, consultations, internal medicine, ECC, and diagnostics.
- Excellent clinical skills focused on best practices and high standards of care.
- Respectful, professional, and courteous demeanour.
- Experience in practice management or a willingness to develop these skills.
- Enthusiastic, caring, and passionate about veterinary medicine.
- Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively.
