Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established and respected 8-vet practice situated in the countryside, near London.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and international team, contributing to a diverse caseload that ranges from leisure horse owners to international competition yards. They will play a key role in providing compassionate care and fostering strong client relationships.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ambulatory veterinary services with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, focusing on specialised procedures and developing a robust client base.
  • Utilise advanced equipment including digital x-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy, and surgical facilities both at the main clinic and branch practice.
  • Maintain continuity of care and adhere to high standards of veterinary practice.
  • Participate in on-call duties, with one weeknight and 1 in 4 weekends, compensated with time off.

 

Requirements:

  • RCVS registered and qualified.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ proven ambulatory experience.
  • Specialised interest and proficiency in equine veterinary medicine.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
