Job Description

If you are a friendly, happy, proactive, and newly graduated Veterinary Surgeon, our client would be delighted to welcome you to their team.

Do you want to future-proof your career in a practice with an exceptional net promoter score?

If so, please read on…

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly follow all Clinical protocols for common medical presentations and routine preventative consultations.
  • Attend a paid-for week-long spay course with a recognized academy in your first year to develop your confidence with certain procedures (they don’t believe that 1-2 of these a month in practice will ever get you to the point of feeling confident, and let’s face it, these can be difficult and stressful ops to do!).
  • 30-minute consultations until you learn the system and develop confidence with all aspects of a consultation.
  • Learn and perform basic surgical procedures under one-to-one guidance.
  • Use on-site diagnostic lab equipment, ultrasound, and digital x-ray.
  • Thoroughly follow all aspects of Customer Service protocols so they maintain their client feedback scores.
  • Maintain diagnostic ratios to improve clinical outcomes.
  • Present clients with clear, honest recommendations so they make the right choice for their pets.
  • Communicate honestly during one-to-one feedback sessions so they can learn your successes and support your challenges.
  • Make evidence-based decisions.
  • Learn dental radiography and advanced dental extraction techniques.
  • Make progress surgically.
  • Examine all body systems in every patient, every time.
  • Explain the basis for actions and decisions when required.
  • Effectively gather client data.
  • Thoroughly complete administrative processes.
  • Decisions are informed by client interest regardless of the financial factor for the client.
  • Contribute to their practice protocols by sharing your thoughts.
  • Think ahead about diagnosis to minimize risks to patient health.
