Job Description
Our client is seeking a Head Nurse to bolster their ranks, ensuring top-tier healthcare for patients and impeccable service for clients.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team comprising 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), 2 Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs), a dedicated receptionist, a proficient practice manager, and 2 skilled veterinarians. They will contribute to a range of projects across the purpose-built clinic, equipped with specialised facilities including separate wards for feline and canine patients, an isolation unit, and state-of-the-art equipment such as ultrasound, digital x-ray, and in-house laboratory amenities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate care and assistance to patients across various medical procedures and treatments.
- Collaborate closely with the veterinary team to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Engage actively in nurse-led clinics, theatre support, and other clinical activities as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the clinic.
- Act as a valuable resource for clients, offering guidance on pet health and welfare matters.
Requirements:
- RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within the veterinary industry.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently when necessary.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to participate in continuous professional development (CPD).
