Job Description

Our client, a distinguished small animal practice, is seeking a dedicated Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. Objectives

As a Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse at this practice, you will work closely with the Practice Manager and the entire team, including referral vets with expertise in orthopaedic and advanced soft tissue surgery. You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills through varied case loads and advanced surgical procedures. The practice is an RCVS-accredited training practice, proud to be both a Silver Cat Friendly Clinic and a Silver Rabbit Friendly Practice, demonstrating their commitment to clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in advanced surgical procedures alongside referral vets.
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to all patients.
  • Support the training and development of veterinary nursing students.
  • Maintain and operate their fully equipped facilities, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound machine with cardiac probes and ECG, in-house lab machines, oxygen chamber, and blood pressure monitors.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
  • Engage with the local community, offering personalised care and support.

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a small animal practice.
  • Strong clinical skills, with a particular interest in surgery and diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and exceptional customer service.
