South West RVNs, are you ready for your next adventure? Our client is currently seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse for a clinic located in Mid Somerset. As a newer but well-established clinic, our client prides itself on its community-focused approach. Situated in a picturesque countryside setting with convenient access to surrounding areas, the clinic offers an ideal work environment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the clinic’s growth and development. Working alongside a dedicated team of veterinarians, nursing staff, and support personnel, including SVN and Patient Care Assistants, as well as a dedicated reception team, they will have the chance to lead nursing clinics and implement innovative ideas. They will contribute to a range of projects aimed at enhancing services and improving patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead nursing clinics and provide high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Oversee the training and development of nursing staff
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment

Requirements:

  • RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably as a Head Veterinary Nurse
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work weekends as part of a rotating roster
