Job Description

Our client’s practice is ideal for water sports enthusiasts, benefiting from nearby towns and beaches along a beautiful coastline. They have excellent local schools and shops within walking distance. They are currently seeking a full-time Vet ready to take the next step in their career to become a Lead Vet or Branch Partner in a 2 FTE practice, where work-life balance is a core principle.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and happy team, providing the highest level of pet care to patients. They will work closely with the Practice Manager and contribute to various projects aimed at enhancing clinical and commercial performance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide clients with clear updates on their pets.
  • Maintain the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for clients, ensuring payment and minimising debt.
  • Work with the Practice Manager to maximise commercial performance with a focus on key measures.
  • Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills and effectively utilising them.
  • Share new or evolving practice standards and processes with the team.
  • Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Support and share clinical best practices within and across practices and the wider community.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience in delivering exceptional care to patients and clients.
  • Understanding of how exceptional care improves the client experience.
  • Experience in implementing a progressive clinical culture.
  • Strong commercial performance through effective allocation of clinical activity.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing to get the best out of colleagues.
