Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients and their pets.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures, managing all pre- and post-operative activities.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and perform schedule 3 tasks.
  • Oversee patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Facilitate patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care services.
  • Dispense and verify medications.
  • Uphold professional excellence, adhering to all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Lead briefings to coordinate the team and ensure the smooth running of the practice.

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • Experience in delivering outstanding patient and client care.
  • A proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consultations, understanding their impact on practice performance and efficiency.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills to bring out the best in colleagues.

Work Schedule

This is a permanent position with a flexible work schedule, offering 7 nights on followed by 14 nights off or 5 nights on followed by 10 nights off, with working hours from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Weekends are included.
