Job Description
A Full-Time Qualified Veterinary Nurse (RVN) is sought to join a small animal practice. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical experience and excellent client communication skills. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, a good team player, dedicated to providing high standards of patient care, and motivated to manage their own nurse clinics.
The successful candidate will join a friendly and professional team at a thriving, well-equipped practice. They will work alongside a branch partner, an assistant veterinary surgeon, and a team of student veterinary nurses. This role offers the opportunity to assist with various surgeries, conduct nurse-led clinics, and develop professionally within a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care to clients and patients.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures, managing all pre- and post-procedure activities.
- Conduct nurse-led appointments and perform Schedule 3 activities.
- Monitor and deliver patient care during their stay.
- Manage admissions and discharges under the direction of the veterinary team.
- Facilitate patient transfers for out-of-hours or specialised care.
- Accurately dispense and check medications.
- Maintain professional excellence, adhering to all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
- Conduct briefings to engage and coordinate the team for efficient practice operations.
Requirements
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in supporting nurse consults and understanding their impact on practice performance.
- Strong coaching and influencing skills to maximise team performance.
