Job Description
Our client, a well-established veterinary clinic, is looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a community-focused clinic with state-of-the-art facilities, providing exceptional care to patients while developing nursing clinics and promoting new ideas.
The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with a team of skilled vets, Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs), Patient Care Assistants, and a dedicated reception team. They will be involved in various projects aimed at enhancing patient care, community engagement, and clinic efficiency. Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to patients and clients, maintaining high standards at all times.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures, managing pre- and post-operative care.
- Conduct nurse-led appointments and carry out Schedule 3 activities.
- Monitor and care for patients, ensuring their well-being.
- Manage patient admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
- Coordinate patient transfers to out-of-hours or specialised care facilities.
- Dispense and verify medications.
- Comply with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards to deliver professional excellence.
- Hold team briefings to ensure the effective operation of the practice.
Requirements
- Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
- Proven experience in delivering outstanding patient and client care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in nurse consults, with an understanding of their impact on practice performance.
- Strong coaching and influencing skills to optimise team performance.
