An exciting opportunity has arisen at a small animal practice for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly and welcoming team. The surgery is purpose-built and fully equipped, enabling them to deliver excellent clinical care to their patients.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, the successful candidate will play a vital role in a team consisting of 2 Vets, 3 Nurses, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant, a Practice Manager, and 3 Client Care Advisors. They will have the chance to fully utilize their nursing skills while contributing to a variety of projects that enhance patient care and support a commitment to animal welfare.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the team, the responsibilities will include:

• Admitting patients and ensuring smooth intake processes.
• Monitoring anaesthesia during surgical procedures.
• Assisting in the recovery and discharge of patients.
• Supporting the Veterinary Care Assistants with theatre turnover and patient preparation.
• Providing excellent customer service to clients.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

• Good general nursing experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• A cheerful, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic demeanor.
• A genuine interest in animal welfare.

Benefits

This Part-Time position involves 32 hours per week, including 1 in 4 Saturdays. The expected working hours are as follows: Monday 08:30 am – 2:30 pm, Tuesday 08:30 am – 7:00 pm, Wednesday 08:30 am – 7:00 pm, and Friday 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm. In return for their dedication, they will receive:
