About the Role

Our client’s veterinary hospital provides a varied caseload, including routine procedures, emergency, and critical care. As a 24-hour hospital, they support both first-opinion clients and internal referrals from surrounding practices. They also work alongside specialists in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and physiotherapy.

Equipped with advanced facilities, including laparoscopic surgery, the hospital is an RCVS Accredited Hospital and holds an ISFM Silver Award for Cat Friendly Clinics.

The successful candidate will be joining a fully staffed team of experienced vets, RVNs, trainee nurses, and clinical management, working across different areas such as theatre, wards, and consultations. The role offers a varied rota, ensuring exposure to all aspects of hospital nursing.

Located in a picturesque setting, this hospital provides a fantastic work environment, while being within easy reach of central London’s vibrant nightlife and attractions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care across theatre, wards, and consultations.
  • Assist with routine procedures, emergency cases, and critical care.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of experienced vets and nurses.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care and client communication.
  • Contribute to the hospital’s ongoing development and best practices.

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) status.
  • Experience in a hospital setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Working Pattern

  • Full-time position.
  • 1:4 weekend rotation with time off in lieu.
  • One bank holiday per year.
  • No on-call requirements.
