Job Description

A dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) is sought to join a supportive and friendly team that is passionate about delivering personalised, high-quality care to both patients and clients.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified RVN ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will work within a close-knit, experienced team, including vets and support staff with clinical coaching experience. They will gain exposure to a variety of cases, including a high number of ophthalmology and second opinion cases, helping to expand clinical knowledge and practical experience.

Responsibilities

In this role, the RVN will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to patients and clients
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, including all pre- and post-operative care
  • Carry out nurse-led appointments and perform Schedule 3 activities
  • Monitor and care for in-patients
  • Manage admissions and discharges under the direction of the veterinary team
  • Support patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care facilities
  • Dispense and check medication
  • Maintain compliance with all clinical, regulatory, and operational standards
  • Take part in daily briefings to support the effective running of the practice

Requirements

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Committed to providing excellent patient and client care
  • A strong team player with effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Confident in nurse consults and aware of their contribution to overall practice performance
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing to support team development
  • Eagerness to learn and progress in a supportive environment
