Job Description
A locally owned veterinary practice, supported by a larger organisation, is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their warm and friendly team.
The successful candidate will join a dedicated team consisting of 3 vets, 5 qualified nurses, 2 student veterinary nurses, 3 receptionists, a Practice Administrator, and a Practice Manager. They will work in a purpose-built, bright, and air-conditioned surgery equipped to industry-leading standards, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory facilities. The role offers exposure to a diverse caseload with over 2000 active patients, 20% of whom are on health care plans. Specialist visiting consultants in orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging, and cardiology enhance their capability in managing complex cases.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent patient and client care
- Support the veterinary team in all aspects of clinical practice
- Assist with surgical and medical procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Contribute to the cleanliness and hygiene of the practice
Requirements:
- Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification (RVN)
- Enthusiasm and proactive approach to nursing care
- Ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work 1 in 4 Saturdays and varied shifts within their opening hours
- Newly qualified RVNs or final year Student Veterinary Nurses considered
