Job Description

Registered Veterinary Nurse – Join a Supportive and Forward-Thinking Independent Practice

Beautiful beaches, a supportive team, plenty of variety and no out-of-hours—this role has it all. Our client is an independent, family-orientated practice that has grown steadily over the years and now operates from purpose-built premises, supported by a welcoming and skilled team. They are now seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their dedicated nursing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN who wants to make a real impact in practice life. You will work alongside a close-knit team of RVNs, SVNs, and VCAs, as well as a supportive veterinary team with a wide range of clinical interests. You will gain exposure to a varied caseload, including unique wildlife and exotic patients, and be encouraged to develop your skills, follow your interests, and even work towards certificates. With a practice culture built around encouragement and teamwork, you will have all the support you need to thrive.

Responsibilities

As part of the nursing team, your role will include:

  • Taking part in a shared rota that includes operating nurse, prep nurse, wards, consults, and float duties
  • Following cases from start to finish, building strong client and patient relationships
  • Supporting a wide and varied caseload, including companion animals and wildlife cases
  • Delivering high-quality nursing care with clinical freedom and responsibility
  • Collaborating with vets, nurses, and reception staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
Requirements

Our client is looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified RVN (new graduates are also encouraged to apply)
  • Enjoys all aspects of nursing and is confident across varied duties
  • Has strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Brings enthusiasm, initiative, and a commitment to patient care
  • Wants to grow professionally, with support available for further training or certificates

Benefits

Our client truly values their team and is pleased to offer:

  • Salary from £31,000, depending on experience
  • £1,000 welcome bonus to support relocation
  • 5 weeks’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Professional fees paid (RCVS, VDS, BVNA)
  • Generous CPD budget with certificates fully funded
  • Private health insurance and Employee Assistance Programme
  • Pension scheme
  • Flexible rota: typically a 4-day week with one set day off, plus 1 in 7 Saturdays (no nights, Sundays, or bank holidays, with OOH outsourced)

Join the team and be part of a practice that values professional growth, high clinical standards, and a supportive work environment. Apply today!
