Job Description

Our client is a thriving veterinary practice located near major transport links. They are currently seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their progressive and friendly team. This role offers excellent opportunities for personal development, particularly in Schedule 3 procedures.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team led by the practice owner and veterinary surgeon. The team consists of 6 Vets, 6 Nurses (including 2 SVNs), a Practice Manager, 1 VCA, and 6 reception staff. The new RVN will contribute to a wide variety of projects, including routine consultations, inpatient care, and theatre work. There is also an opportunity to enhance clinical skills through Schedule 3 procedures and share expertise with students, as the practice is a nurse training facility.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct consultations with clients and provide top-notch patient care.
  • Perform inpatient care duties, ensuring the well-being and comfort of the animal patients.
  • Assist in theatre work, including surgeries and post-operative care.
  • Carry out Schedule 3 procedures to enhance clinical skills.
  • Share knowledge and skills with student nurses as part of the training practice.

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification.
  • Dynamic and proactive approach with solid all-round nursing skills.
  • Experience in a similar veterinary role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to providing high standards of animal care.
