Discover an exciting opportunity as a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract maternity cover at a small animal practice based in Bedford. Situated within a bustling retail environment, this practice offers a vibrant work setting with convenient onsite amenities.

Joining their team means contributing to a state-of-the-art practice equipped with digital X-ray, Doppler blood pressure monitoring, capnography, ECG, ultrasound, and more. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team of 4 vets, 6 nurses, 1 VCA, and a client care team, ensuring high standards of care in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The practice is ISFM certified and collaborates with external specialists for in-house soft tissue/orthopaedic surgery, ultrasonography, and endoscopy procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Utilise nursing skills for patient admission, anaesthetic monitoring, recovery, and discharge.
• Collaborate with VCAs to ensure smooth operations in theatre and patient prep areas.

Requirements:

• Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification.
• Good general nursing experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Cheerful, enthusiastic, and passionate about animal welfare.
