Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Nurse to join a small animal practice where you will play a pivotal role in managing various medical conditions for a loyal client base. You will be supported by a very experienced Lead Vet at the practice. The practice is well-equipped with three consult rooms, in-house labs, X-ray, dental, and an ultrasound.

The successful candidate will work in a close-knit team and contribute to various medical and surgical projects, ensuring exceptional care for patients and clients. The practice is conveniently located with great transport links.

 

Responsibilities

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients.
  • Support surgeries and procedures, completing all pre- and post-procedure activities.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
  • Provide patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and coordinate your team to support the effective running of the practice.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Skilled in using coaching and influencing techniques to get the best out of every colleague.
