Job Description

Our client is a bustling and recognised hospital, recently named one of London’s best veterinary practices. They are seeking a Full-Time Qualified Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their friendly, professional team at their 24-hour hospital.

The successful candidate will join a highly experienced team led by Branch Partners and Vets with a combined 25 years of experience. You will work alongside their Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, who has 15 years of experience, and other certificate holders or those currently undertaking a certificate. The team includes fantastic nursing and support staff, a dedicated reception team, and a night team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of interesting neurology, medicine, surgical, and other cases, supported by their MRI/CT unit and extensive facilities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients and patients.
  • Support surgeries and procedures, including pre- and post-procedure activities.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
  • Monitor and care for patients.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Maintain professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to coordinate and engage your team for effective practice operations.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Strong team player with effective collaboration skills.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consultations and understanding their impact on practice performance.
  • Proficient in using coaching and influencing skills to maximise team performance.
