Job Description

Our client is a well-established veterinary practice known for its friendly and supportive team. They are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their team. The practice is part of a larger 24-hour hospital network, providing exceptional patient and client care.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team that values collaboration and continuous improvement. They will work alongside an experienced Lead Vet who is also a Branch Partner. This role involves all aspects of nursing, including assisting Veterinary Surgeons with daily duties and contributing to the ongoing review and improvement of practice protocols. The practice is well-equipped with an X-ray machine, a biochemistry machine, and a haematology machine.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional care to clients.
  • Support surgeries and procedures, completing all pre- and post-procedure activities.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and schedule activities.
  • Monitor and care for patients.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Facilitate patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Maintain professional excellence, adhering to all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and coordinate the team for effective practice operations.

 

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting Nurse consultations, with an understanding of their contribution to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing techniques to maximise team performance.
