Job Description
Would you like to join a well-functioning practice with a strong team of specialists? At this practice, you will have the opportunity to work with certificate holders in imaging and cardiology, as well as other vets studying for certificates in surgery, dentistry, and ECC. Their amazing nursing team ensures everything runs smoothly. They are the first practice in the area to install a CT scanner, with exciting developments planned for the coming year. Their on-site equipment includes laparoscopy, endoscopy (rigid and flexible), dental X-ray, ultrasound, a full lab including iStat, plus hydrotherapy and physiotherapy facilities.
Our client has an exciting new role for a Registered Veterinary Nurse at their 24-hour hospital. This full-time position offers a 40-hour, 4-day working week with a 1 in 4 weekend rotation. You will join a long-established practice close to the Jurassic Coast and be part of a dedicated team providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients and patients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post-procedure activities.
- Conduct nurse-led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Monitor and care for patients.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Maintain professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and coordinate your team for effective practice operations.
Requirements
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience supporting nurse consultations and understanding their impact on practice performance and efficiency.
- Strong coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of colleagues.
- Caring, motivated approach with good communication skills.
