Are you a confident Veterinary Nurse looking for a supportive work environment that encourages your development? Our client’s practice, purpose-built with great facilities including an operating theatre, three dedicated consultation rooms, a large prep area, an x-ray room, and an isolation block with separate cat and dog kennels, is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Nurse.

The successful candidate will join a team currently comprising three vets, supported by four RVNs, one SVN, one PM, and five receptionists. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work in a varied and dynamic practice that performs a full range of orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries. They are committed to supporting all staff members with opportunities for further development once qualified.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality veterinary nursing care to all patients.
• Assist veterinarians in surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the practice by maintaining clean and organised facilities.
• Offer excellent customer service to clients, addressing their concerns and providing education on pet care.
• Participate in the training and development of student nurses (if interested).

Requirements:

• Good experience in veterinary nursing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Effective team player with the ability to use initiative when required.
• Friendly, down-to-earth demeanour with a genuine interest in animal welfare.
• An interest in clinical coaching and supervising student nurses is advantageous (training provided if interested).
