Job Description

Our client’s practice is a well-equipped, high-standard facility with three consult rooms, a full in-house laboratory, digital CR radiography, and ultrasound. They have a well-equipped surgical theatre with diathermy, capnography, multi-parameter monitors, and piped anaesthetic gases in all areas of the surgery. The successful candidate will join a supportive team of RVNs and VCAs, working on varied caseloads from routine health consults to complex medical cases and orthopaedic surgery. The team is fully supported by a Practice Manager and a friendly front-of-house team. With another team member on board, the practice plans to extend its productive nurse clinics and hold regular Lunch & Learn sessions for team development.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality veterinary care to small animals.
  • Provide excellent patient and client care.
  • Participate in and help extend nurse clinics.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain and improve clinical standards.
  • Engage in CPD and contribute to the team’s knowledge base.
  • Work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with flexibility for 4 full days or 5 shorter days, and 1 in 4 weekends with no OOH duties.

Requirements

  • Dynamic and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Solid all-round nursing skills.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent patient and client care.
  • Willingness to develop within an area of interest, with support for further study.
  • Eagerness to utilise Schedule 3 skills and contribute to clinical improvements.
