Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of veterinary care with practices across the UK, including 24-hour veterinary centres and referral centres. They also have a growing presence in France, Germany, and Spain. They are currently seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their well-established 24-hour hospital.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a supportive and experienced team, contributing to a variety of nursing duties and assisting with clinical coaching. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding patient and client care in a friendly and positive environment. Responsibilities

In this role, the candidate will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients and patients.
  • Support surgeries and procedures, completing all pre- and post-procedure activities.
  • Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
  • Monitor and care for patients, managing admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care services.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Uphold professional excellence by complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and coordinate their team, ensuring the effective running of the practice.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have:

  • RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting nurse consults, with an understanding of their impact on practice performance and efficiency.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills to help colleagues perform at their best.
